”From time and Sherry casks alone” as it states on the bottle. The smell is dark and deep with lots of fruits. Dark ripe plums, so full of fruits that you don’t sense the alcohol at all. The oak influence is gentle and elegant.
Even though it is only 43% it is so full of flavours and the oils fills your mouth. You even get a slight alcohol burn (in the good way). Still, in the taste the dark dried fruits is very dominant. The oak comes more into play here. The finish is long and the fruity flavours turn into fruity sweetness.
Normally I crave for higher ABV as I like my whiskies very flavourful. But this does the trick at 43%. It is still very flavourful, have the right amount of oak with just a slight alcohol burn. This is a very elegant whisky and the 43% actually suits it. I will rate this 92/100 (23/23/23/23).
