Review #143 (2015)
This whisky is called “Teenage Shenanigans” and comes from a refill barrel. Only 242 bottles were made. Tropical fruits mixed with barley on the nose. Feels Young and fresh so don’t get to close. If you get your nose a bit away from the glass you really get the sweetness.
In the taste you get a lot of alcohol and fresh fruits like apples, but also some sweetness from fruits, like pineapple and apricots. The finish gives you some oak, sugar, vanilla and nuts.
Regarding the age and price, I think this is a really good whisky. And don’t be afraid of some water. It really helps. I will give this 88/100 (21/22/23/22).
