Review #930 (2023)
This will take over for the Dreams to Dram, with the same cask composition of 90% Bourbon and 10% STR barriques, but with a longer maturation. Oak, spices and baked apples in the smell.
Again, oak and spices in the taste. A great touch of caramel as well. A medium finish with the spices and caramel staying the longest, and with some baked fruits peeps forward.
A whisky with a great balance – it’s just nice from start to finish, and nothing “sticks out”. It’s a pleasant acquaintance. I will give this 84/100 (21/21/21/21).
