Review #929 (2023)
This expression is about 5 years old and matured in Oloroso Sherry casks. The Sherry casks have held Oloroso Sherry for 10-12 years. Classic Kingsbarns character in the smell. Light and fruity. The Sherry is very noticeable in the smell, but in a very light way. Cherries and a little toffee in the background.
The taste is full of oak and dried fruits. Spices (like baking spices, cinnamon etc.) and some sweetness. The finish is actually quite long, considering the young age.
With some more age, I imagine this could be very good! Well, for five years it’s already good! I will give this 85/100 (22/21/21/21).
