Review #278 (2016)
To be precise, this is bottled 12-05-2015 and is a mixture of Bourbon and Sherry casks. The smell is very elegant. A very good balance between the Bourbon and the Sherry casks. The dried fruits mixes great with vanilla and gentle oak.
The same elegance applies in the taste. The oak and the dried fruits is dominant. The light peat comes dancing in and interrupts the picture. But in the good way! The finish is just a mix of smoke (not peat), leather, oak, dates, raisins and I could go on.
It is like all the flavors just shifts around in the mouth in the finish. This is just a good dram from start to finish, and it has a kind of elegant touch. Very gentle and very mouthwatering. I will rate this 88/100 (22/22/22/22).
