Review #888 (2022)
This is released in 2021, and is named after one of the water sources the distillery uses, located on the mountain Ben Nevis. White fruits and citrus in the smell. Fresh pears and lemon peels.
Fresh white fruits and citrussy notes (again) in the taste. But also oak spices and some sugary notes. The oak spices lingers great in the finish, alongside hints of butterscotch, that goes great with the citrussy notes.
My initial thought was that it was very young – not much oak influence in the smell… But through the taste and finish, the whisky really develops! However, I still feel this is quite undermatured – or maybe I just can see some potential with some further maturation? I will give this 80/100 (19/20/21/20).
