Review #923 (2023)
Created from Tawny Port and Cognac casks. Mild, sweet berry peat in the smell. Some vanilla and sour oak as well.
More peat in the taste. Meat and vegetation! Starts of fresh and then becomes quite heavy in the finish. Some fruity sweetness and vanilla joins as well in the background. All this comes together so well!
What a great ending! The way it moves over to these heavy meat-peat notes is just fantastic! Very flavourful and interesting to sip over time, and adding water just makes the experience even more interesting. I will give this 84/100 (20/21/22/21).
