From Signatory Vintage’s Cask Strength Collection comes this 1st fill Sherry butt with the cask number 900368. Only 676 bottles were made. Dried fruits, red berries and a touch of sweet vanilla in the smell.
A bomb in the taste! Both regarding the alcohol (especially the alcohol!) and the Sherry maturation. Dried fruits, oak, spices with tannins coming forward just as we enter the finish. Tobacco leaves and dark chocolate in the finish.
Fantastic Sherry matured Glenallachie – just like it should be! The strength definitely gives you the opportunity to add some water. Must say that Glenallachie really have started to grow on me lately! I will give this 91/100 (22/23/23/23).
