Review #407 (2017)
TTL on the bottle stands for Taiwan Tobacco and Liquor Corporation. Very mild at first in the smell. Dried fruits with a fair amount of vanilla. Very sweet! Some gentle oak in there as well.
Full of flavours at first in the taste, with a bit alcohol roughness – in the good way! Dates, raisins and oak to mention some things. The finish is good but I get this weird feeling of “watery oak”. It is still full of flavours though, and lasts very long.
Taiwan can make whisky and they just keep proving it. This is full of flavours and the 46 % really suits this whisky. I wonder if they will make an edition that is cask strength. If they do, I would love to try that! I will give this 86/100 (22/22/21/21).
