This is from the ”The Exclusive Grains” by the Creative Whisky Company. It´s a single cask from cask #12 and only 244 bottles were made. Clean and crisp with a touch of oak in the smell. Sweet bananas and hints of mint. Cooked white fruits with syrup and honey glaze.
Quite subtle in the taste for a whisky excess 50%. Cane sugar and oak. Unfortunately also a bit of bitter oak… Exotic fruits like pineapple, and some honey. The finish is mostly oak and sugar. Simple, but nice.
I’m a bit mixed about this expression. It’s good, but not as flavourful and complex as I would expect a +40 year old to be. Not often you say this, but a couple of years less in the cask, would might just have been good for this whisky. I will give this 86/100 (21/21/22/22).
