Review #808 (2019)
This is a travel retail, and is finished in Amontillado Sherry casks. Sweet light dried fruits in the smell. Some red berries – like marmalade – and some caramel. Very easy!
Actually quite rich at first in the taste considering the low ABV. Honey and oak spices. White fruits in the background. Very sweet in the finish with vanilla and fruit sugars. You are left with some of the spices and a bit of oak in the end.
Very glad they chose to bottle this at 43% and not 40. After a couple of sips, it starts to get a bit watery. A fair whisky, but far from my favourite Glenmorangie. Some further ageing would probably have done wonders. I will give this 83/100 (21/21/21/20).
