Before this, it started with a 2 year maturation in first fill French oak. Nice, sweet vanilla peat, in <strong>the smell<\/strong>. Fresh white fruits \u2013 especially green apples, but also a touch of exotic fruits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Peat at first in <strong>the taste<\/strong>, but not overwhelming. Fresh cut grass, a bit of citrus and white fruits. The peat actually gets quite meaty in <strong>the finish<\/strong>. Nice oak touch in the end, with some spices mixing into the peat and cask influence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I don\u2019t want to talk about age, but still\u2026 I have tried so many peated travel retail Scotch Whiskies, which are just (put in a hard way) peated new make spirit\u2026 And then you taste something like this, which is young, but so far from under matured\u2026 I\u2019m a fan!
