It is full and rich on <strong>the nose<\/strong>. First, I thought of Christmas. Vanilla, marzipan and cinnamon. Then some nutty and oaky notes. For a cask strength whisky it is very friendly in the smell. Perhaps too friendly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Lot of marzipan in <strong>the taste<\/strong>. Some nuts as well. Almonds perhaps. A lot of spices and wood influence comes forward in <strong>the finish<\/strong>. Black pepper. Black pepper indeed! Almost no sweetness in towards the end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A great and a bit different Glenmorangie. At 57.1% you don\u2019t have to be afraid of some water, and with all the spiciness I find it really helpful. I think it really opens up the spices in the finish.
