It consists of 21 casks &#8211; 8 sherry casks, 8 French oak barriques and 5 Bourbon barrels. 6660 bottles were made. Some white fruits and hints of soap (!?) at first in <strong>the smell<\/strong>. Then it gets sweet with some orange and grapefruit on the side. Do I detect some juniper as well? A very different Arran judging by the nose!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Perfume in <strong>the taste<\/strong>. First thing I notice! White fruits, peppery spices and some citrusy notes. Some exotic fruits and vanilla in <strong>the finish<\/strong>, but still the focus is on the floral and perfume notes. Maybe I\u00b4m too sensitive\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It\u00b4s not a bad (quality) dram, but all those floral and perfumy notes just doesn\u2019t do it for me\u2026 And how this should be associated with the Devil is a mystery to me \u2013 I would expect dark flavours etc, but that has nothing to do with the whisky, so never mind about that\u2026 I will give this <strong>82\/100<\/strong> (20\/20\/21\/21).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Review #690 (2018) This is Chapter III in the series and is called &#8220;The Fiendish Finale&#8221;.
