This is matured in a mix of American and European Oloroso Sherry casks. Loads of dried fruits in <strong>the smell<\/strong>. Honey, toffee, oak and spices.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Heavy Sherry and oak influence in <strong>the taste<\/strong>, with a great oily mouthfeel. Tannins as well. Spices and dried, with just a bit acidity\/citrusy notes to balance it all out. <strong>The finish<\/strong> is long and \u201coaky\u201d, with some light sweetness that adds to the balance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is an experience to try these old bottles, and especially Macallan, as the prices are running higher and higher, leaving them harder and harder to come by. One of those bottles I will probably never try again.
